The Sugar Beats came to life in late 2023 in a similar way that breakfast cereal scientists combine ingredients together until they hit the perfect formula.

The ladies are from pioneering female Aussie hard rock band Nitocris and Adam is from current garage punk no-goods The Strike Outs and they ignite this punch, swagger and know how into the Sugar Beats mix.

Since coming together they’ve played a bunch of live shows anywhere and everywhere along the NSW east coast – and squeezed in time to record their debut album at the Pet Food Factory.

The self titled debut album was released on 1 August 2025 through Vi-nil Records and has been called

        ‘the best local punk record of the year’ by the I94 Bar

and described as

         ‘absolutley briliant’ by the Turbo Nun Entertainment Group
