Melvic Centre opened for business as the brainchild of Will, who played everything on the debut Melvic Centre album. That record came out in 2023 and snagged ears and attention all over the place and has since sold out. Will put together a killer band (featuring members of Boudicca and Joint Pains) and played a bunch of shows with local, national and international acts.
Trawler is the 2nd Melvic Centre album and is another blazing set of heartfelt and powerful songs, that has the rest of the guys adding to Will’s sound. From the moment Trawler cuts through the silence on your speakers it delivers the perfect blend of driving melodic punk thats crammed with hooks, edge and energy – without copping out into cargo pant pop-punk territory.
You can call it orgcore, skatepunk, post-hardcore, indie punk it doesnt matter. When it comes down to important music/bands/records genres are kinda pointless – all that matters is Melvic Centre bring ya honest, catchy, melodic punk delivered straight from the heart.
